About us
Nomad is a recognised canopy of the Parabat Veterans Organisation (PVO), created for airborne-qualified veterans who wish to remain connected to the paratrooper brotherhood regardless of location or circumstance.
Our members are former paratroopers bound by shared experience, discipline, and values forged through service. While many of us no longer parade under a physical canopy, the spirit of the parabat lives on through camaraderie, mutual respect, and continued support for one another.
Nomad exists to preserve the traditions of the airborne fraternity, strengthen veteran connections, and provide a platform where parabat veterans can engage, communicate, and support each other in a modern and flexible way. Whether nearby or far from a traditional canopy, every member remains part of the family.
We stand for unity, honour, and remembrance — ensuring that the legacy of South African paratroopers continues to be upheld for generations to come.
